Day 1219.

You know I had to post something on this blog on the day that rep's my birthday.

Some thoughts I'll pass on [and out]:
I'm definitely getting Shure earphones. The e3c's to be more specific. But $200 is not my spending price; I'm going on eBay to find it for less. I wonder if the warranty will still be good if I do...
I'm having second thoughts about heading to Nextel. Since the Cell Phone Fiasco, I have had no further complaints about them. Coverage, service, and the phone itself have been pretty good. And to my fellow Verizon Wireless mates, it'd be crazy to switch. But I remember years back when those who had VoiceStream said the exact same thing...

Sweet Rhythm: Robby Ameen

Yeah, I finally got to meet Johnnie's [right] mentor and teacher: Robby Ameen [center, with Rennie @ left]. He can sure play some drums! He was on hand with what apparently is his current band, Overproof, at Sweet Rhythm, which is a pretty cool hotspot. Especially with a Cuban Latin jazz band such as Overproof. And they sure make a good one of these:

Oh yeah, I finished that one. That was Sex on the beach...
In any event, I was digging their music. However, it's only available in Japan! Can you say, plunk $30?!
If you like to hear more of Ameen, according to the Robby Ameen's Itinerary, he'll be performing with another band, the Richie Flores band, later on this coming Wednesday! Should you like to check it out, Sweet Rhythm is on 88 Seventh Avenue in the Village, bt. Grove & Bleecker Streets...
Come to think of it, if you check out Rob's site, you'll notice he's aged quite gracefully since that old picture...

Otherwise, the job is fine. The job hunting is not. I will have to redo my resume...
And all is normal in BK. Oh yeah, there is that thing I have to do with 2 cousins from Trinidad; taking 'em around town and such. But the funny thing is, they didn't come here to move around; they came to lounge around! If my brother and I don't force 'em, they'll sit at our crib, devour all our food, and watch Full House, Boy Meets World, and Law & Order SVU all day. (They love Ice-T.) So, what are two "americanized" katz to do? That's right, we actually are American...
Gotta love family. Especially out-of-town-out-of-country family...

Gotta go. Before one 'em wises up to look up my name on the internet.
Lata...
