Happy 4th of July, everyone!

Another Luther tidbit I'll pass: He and my PCBU's share one thing in common, besides '81 being a knockout year for them: all three of them were born in 1951!! Luther in April, Mom in July, Dad in September. And my parents, Lord willing, will outlive him! Whoa...

A funny thought as the fireworks continue:
Let everyone sweep in front of his or her own door, and the whole world will be clean.

War of the Worlds
This film gave me a huge gripe. The gripe that Collateral, coincidentally, another Tom Cruise movie, gave me. The gripe is the lack of a proper, or better, ending. I wish not to spoil anything for anyone, because outside of the ending, the film was pretty awesome! Dakota Fanning had that Monk thing going on, and Tom plays a jerk, essentially. The groove worked, as the aliens forced a perspective change on those two. Watching this film, you will see and understand just how stupid, and self centered, we as people can get. The narration might bug you, Tim Robbins might creep you, but get passed that, and the ending, you're fine. The creepiest scene: when Dakota's character went to pee in the woods, and as she approached the river, a sea of dead bodies float on past her. Creepy stuff.
Rating: W/ Ending - 7.5/10; W/O Ending - 9.2/10
