Free

There I was, at the Golden Hall doors
leading the way to the next dimension of reality.
I had to think to myself, what a journey I've been through already
the lessons I've learned, the road blocks I overpowered
the friends I've made, the load I carried.

To think, it took me so long in this social instituion...
Oh, I'm sorry, the most important of all the social institutions;
and now, I've finally made it.
The fiasco has ended, and I can breathe again.
But as my hand touched the doorknob,
I was brought to one disturbing fact:

It's not over.
This is not the end; this is only the beginning.
Now, I've come to the point where there real fun begins
where the real hell starts, and where all the fantasies end.
Cliched as it sounds, I'm still back in the maze,
and I'm don't even know where it started
don't know when it began.

Despite that, I'll still cling to my dream.
I will still believe that the marathon is over, and I've finally
after all these years, made it to the finish line.
Oh God, I'm ready for the rest of it
But I still wish to hold on to this surreal part of the cycle.
Let me bask in my victory, knowing that I can do
almost anything in time.
Let me enjoy my parade, breathe that fresh air, and finally release...

...Ahh, it feels so good to be free.
