On Politics:
"Where else but in America could the women's liberation movement take off their bras, then go on TV to complain about their lack of support?"

I know, I know...
And it's been awhile, since I could hold my head up high
And it's been awhile, since I first saw you
And it's been awhile, since I could stand on my own two feet again
And it's been awhile, since I could call you...
But holla, from da Kat unda da Kangol cap! I was able to blog tonite, only because I was let out of work early; okay I wasn't really, but I went to a "part-time meet-our-goal-for-fall-2003" meeting in Lake Success, NY. Oh man, what a sight. It was a nice breather from being in Brooklyn; all the trees, malls, and nice people there. The wonderful sights, fantastic view; you would think I had to be there @ around 1PM. I actually had to be there at 9:30AM; so I left my house at 6:30AM, took the 6:55 4train, to the 7:45 F-train, to the 8:35 Q46. It was the most soothing trip to take at seven in the morning. How soothing?

So soothing, I decided to take a Q60 bus ride back to the B61. No special reason for taking the long way home, except one: to survive Queens Boulevard, the infamously claimed "Boulevard of Death". And I sat next to this twenty-something woman. I remember as I wrote this draft-post, she was shying away; perhaps out of rather obvious uncomfort being next to me. I felt kind of bad, she seemed really nice, but just took my actions the wrong way. Come to think of it, I dunno what it was that igged her, but as we took turns shaking our heads watching the elders play musical chairs at the front of the bus, she looked more than slightly miffed by me. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Well katz, the quest to fill my iPod with more than 2000 songs has finally been accomplished. The mp3 delight now houses 2108 songs. Now, the main objective has turned to getting rid of some of the tracks! Not that I ran out of room (OK, 200MB of space does leave something to concern over), but I want 2100 songs that I know for sure I'll listen to, and not just 202 albums on file.

Also, after acquiring the MaclearZip case at the 2003 MacWorld Expo last month, I must say the case is pretty impressive. Similar to the plastic covers you might put on a sofa/loveseat, this clear plastic case covers the iPod, protecting it from dirt, lint, soda, mustard and sand; while still visibly showing off my iPod. While the protection isn't full-proof (the firewire cover and hold switches are still succeptible to lint), it accomplishes what I need it to do. And, it is compatible with the original Apple iPod case, which if you're like me, is broken by now. My only complaints at this point is that there is no clip that came with the case, and sliding the iPod into the MaclearZip will take some adjusting. It isn't easy at first, but once fully adjusted, taking the iPod out becomes a cinch.
Also of note, at one time or another, you will feel as though you are looking at your plastic-covered sofa, rather than your protected iPod. And it doesn't look right; it's as if it takes away from the beauty of the device. It's odd after awhile, if you pay enough attention to it.
Pros: Excellent protection against the elements, still able to see iPod and it's functions. Works with Apple iPod case.
Cons: Protective plastic is similar to that of the plastic put on sofas, looks tacky after awhile
Rating: 8.5 out of 10
Other than work, nuttin's new here in BK. Accept...
SummerSlam was so-so. I was robbed of my Triple-H/Goldberg match with some Elimination Chamber match, and it was decent. At least Triple H won. The Kurt Angle/Brock Lesnar match was the better of them all. Big-ups to Kurt for a great display of technical wrestling. And is it me, or is Eddie Guerrero trying to become the next Randy Savage??
Hold up, hold the hell up. Did I just see Jonathan Coachman with my Kangol cap on? Dat summamabitch's got my cap on!
Oh yeah, school starts next Tuesday. Tis my last year, and I plan to go out with a bang, college ring and all. Meantime, 4 years of sweat, tears, and soda, 1 more to go.
The West Indian Day parade is next week, and Vee won't be here! Well Dutty-Das, I'll leave a drink and rag here with your name on it in memory.
Ok. I gots to get sleep. Next time, I'll squeeze in a freelance. Catch you later...
