"I once heard two ladies going on and on about the pains of childbirth and how men don't seem to know what real pain is. I asked if either of them ever got themselves caught in a zipper."

Que pasa, from da kat unda da Kangol Cap! And for the second quarter of my vacation, I can honestly say I can't complain. For about a week and a half, I've been subjected to hot & humid weather. Other than that, BK either gets a sunny breeze, or lots of rain. Speaking of which, there's supposed to be more rain this week. Bummer.
I don't think I'll ever be ready for my last year at Hunter; like I ever was ready for anything anyway. So, "When the time comes, I'll never notice. 'Cause I'll be too busy lookin' good..."
$2 to the person who can match that line with the movie...
OK then, so what else is new...
It has come to my attention that maybe I'm too much of an iPod addict; that most of my time on this blog seems devoted to my music, and not myself. Well buds, all I can say at this point is this: the less you know, the safer you are. Besides, if something incredible and extraordinary were to happen to me, you'll be the fourth to know about it! Meantime, I offer tunes and good vibes that might be to your liking...

Some sad news of note: if anyone has attempted to contact me through my cell this past weekend, you probably were, and will still remain, unsuccessful. The reason for that came last Thursday after a big birthday party. A minute after contacting the parental carbon-based units on my returning home, I hear a wheel run over some electronic device. I clasp my pockets, fearing it was my iPod. But my fears were calmed; it was safely stashed in my side pocket. As I reached for my phone holster however, I noticed something very important was missing. The bulging of my eyes was 'indescribable' as the car pulled away. It was my Motorola Timeport 8767, split in two pieces.
According to Verizon Wireless, the repairs could cost up to $100 ('cuz some kat said I didn't need insurance...) So I had three options: get my phone repaired for $100, upgrade my phone and service to a newer model (possibly the LG phone with built-in digital camera) for $50 more, or go on eBay and spend $50 for a replacement phone, to turn around and still kick out $150 for a new phone. The problem with option 1 is that I'm waiting a month for a repaired phone, not a replacement. The problem with option 2 is similar to option 1, only I'm spending $150 for a new phone altogether. The problem with option 3 is that I only wait a week, but spend $200 in the process. And why would I still kick out $150? Cause I deserve a new phone, dammit!! Other than that, I'm not about to trot around someone else's knockoff for another year or two.
I guess my actions will have to depend on how good eBay is to me...
I've been a bad cookie in terms of birthdays for the month of July. Usually I'd make plans for my friends, but this year I decided to wing it, and ended up with mixed results. So as I ring in August (leaving me with 23 days until school), I wish to send belated birthday shout-outs to Maylene (July 16th), my mother (July 18th), Tavie & Kirsten (July 11th), and Veesha (July 27th). Hopefully, my timing will be better in the month of September...
Ah yes, SummerSlam is coming! And I guess the main attraction is the Goldberg/Triple H match for the world's title! Now, as much as I am a fan of da Man, he has not been there that long, nor has done that much, for him to win the championship at SummerSlam. Notwithstanding all the other guys that made the attempt, I do not believe at this point, he is more capable. So it is with this thought I hope that Triple H beats Goldberg at SummerSlam.
Also, there's a possible Kane/Shane McMahon match that might be cool. And, Michaels/Orton match should prove interesting. You know, when I think about it, wrestling has become fun to watch again. Before, their philosophy seemed to be "they know it's fake; we know it's fake; and they know we know it's fake," and they turned wrestling into a soap opera. Nowadays, they've returned to the "looks so real, you know it ain't fake" times of old, and it's enjoyable. A remarkable change, and one I welcome with open arms...
Okay, back to work for me. I'll catch you sometime this week.
