You are a true blessing to this family
The pillar that holds it all together
Remembering all the ways you were there for me
Those moments with you I will forever treasure

You're a part of my life I want around always
Whose powerful light shines every day...
That's probably what a Hallmark Card might say.

May your days be filled with happiness galore
may your heart find peace and joy abound
You're the gift to us that gives more and more
The one true love that I want around
To kneel beside you as the flugelhorns play
and see your smile under the moonlit night
I declare my love for you on this day...
And that's what a Hallmark editor might write.

It's funny how they speak the words for us.
Stealing the spotlights and moments we have.
As we reach for the thoughts that convey our love
to find out those words have already been said.
By someone who may never had felt that joy,
or someone who remembers being under that white arc.
For love is more than giving a Christmas toy...
