Don't ask me how, or with who. But shit's gonna change.
I can feel it. God's plan is setting motion as we speak...

Already it's happening! Holy Cow!!

Greetings from the guy under the now wet Kangol Cap. It's been wet all week; from the snow on Monday, to the sleet on Tuesday, to the rain today, God made sure showers of blessing came on New York this week. So what's new; let's see...

My iPod turns 4 months old today! Happy 4 month b-day Iceman! I wanted to do something for it this month, but I decided that proper maintenance should be enough until I fork out $120 for the JBL Creature Speakers. In any case, I'm down to 1.75GB of space, with 2GB full of smooth jazz and 1.5GB full of reggae tracks. Time to tidy it up...

Something of note: a friend I haven't seen in a while just happened to notice that I was listening to Kenny G while I was preparing for the Smooth Jazz festival. And his analogy struck at me, though it was a stupid one, as interesting: I am like an oreo cookie; black on the outside, white on the inside. Taken aback, I asked him how he figured that one. His response was, "what black man you know listens to Kenny G??" And while I couldn't answer his question, the mere fact that he came out of his mouth like that says a lot about me. Sure he was joking around, but the idea lingered on. Am I an oreo cookie?

Okay Terrence, you're not. You're just different...
Oh, whatever.

The midterms, which aren't over as yet, have went a lot better than I ever anticipated. The practice I've made for myself this time around was that the day before the exam, my kliq and I pull our heads together and know our stuff. We capitalize on what we know, and learn what we don't from each other. It starts off with Business Organization and Management last week Friday, where I get one of the top 2 highest grades, 95. Where the class average was 49, and the next highest grade was 70, I was at the top of my game; it couldn't get any better. And to add insult to injury, I do better than the rest of the kliq...
Next, was the Advanced Accounting I exam on Monday. The same principle was used, and I once again do phenomenally well. Even my friend goes from a 6 out of 25 to a 23 out of 25! Talk about a huge improvement!! And to make sure that I was on top of the game, I went to my professor after the exam, just to hear her tell me that I did much better on this exam. I had the biggest Kool-Aid smile on the way home...
Then, it was the Advanced Accounting II exam on Wednesday. And again, knowing that we were on a roll, we studied Tuesday afternoon. And the very next day, I not only passed the exam, I aced the sucker!! I don't even need to know my grade for the exam; the wave of God's blessing is so strong, I certain I did above 90...
The wave of God's blessing is how I explain the change of pace in my academics. This wave increases my memorybanks by 200%, allowing me to remember more without relying on some fail-safe idea. Thanks be to God for this wave. Bring more God, more!!
Oh yeah, I still have my Statistics exam on Monday. Not to worry though, I studied on Thursday; and plan to do some more on Sunday. A little prayer, and I should be just fine. Now this is the way I want to go into Spring Break. With no problems, no pains over class, no worries. Hakuna-matata.

And if you think I'm corny for saying that, go climb a rock!

Oh, it gets better!
Today in class, a female friend that I've known for a year decides to bother me a little more than usual. Thinking of it as nothing, I cruise on with my Kenny G tracks (I know, I know). Then she starts asking me if I have a girlfriend. Eeery at the question, I hesitantly replied no. Then she went on to wonder if I was still a virgin. Now totally irked, I decide to change roles, and find out why she's so interested in me. Realizing what I was doing, she turned the tables again, and asked if she could be my girlfriend.

Stop.

Let's analyze this two-fold, from a male perspective, and a friendship perspective. First, she's goal-oriented. She's very determined and postively-vibed, with nothing physically wrong with her. But on that same note, she has bronchitis, which causes her to spit and get sick a lot. She can get crazy at times, and is very, very physical; almost to her detriment. So male/female wise, it's hard to determine whether being with her is a good idea. But in the words of my kliq, it's my call...
Second, I've known her for some time. And we have always chilled, moreso than most other female friends. The next thing I know, she wants to be with me. If something were to happen, I would not want to lose the cool that we have. She may not know my kliq, and she is definitely kliq-worthy. And imagine that we all get comfy together, and next thing, we are an item. It just wouldn't look right. She has been too good to me as a friend. I don't want to lose that.

Go.

Shocked at the question, I smiled it out at first, and told her that I would think it over. Shocked wasn't the half of it. She just up and asked. I have never known that to happen before. What this brotha's gonna do, I have until the end of the weekend to decide. But whatever happens, I better pray before I do anything...

Now that I look back, I thought to myself that I said things would change; but I underestimate God's power, and that of my own words! Good news ladies and gents, it looks like it's just the beginning. So until next time, Post something Mikey!!!
