With two more freekin finals to go, I decide to indulge now in a freelance. This freelance may not be historically correct, but should come pretty damn close. Something I thought about as I typed my cheatsheet, eh, my study guide for my next final. With finals upon me, should I really indulge in a freelance? Why not!?! From the other side...

The Computer

In the beginning, man created the pen and the paper;
and saw it was without form and void.
So man said, "Let there be words, that will express feelings
or emotions; that tell a story, or say nothing at all."
And then came words, words, and many words put together.
So man called these strings of words information.
Then man said, "Let they be fruitful and multiply to benefit Mankind."
Thus, ending the era of stupidity. And man saw it was good.

Then man said, "Let there be multitudes of information binded by
multitudes of paper. Let they be fruitful and multiply to benefit Mankind."
And thus came multitudes of paper with information; and man called it books.
Thus, ending the era of haphazardness. And man saw it was good.

Then man said, "Let there be multitudes of information and multitudes of books in one area,
whre we all can use them. Let they be fruitful and multiply to benefit Mankind."
And thus came multitudes of books and information; and man called it a library.
Thus, ending the era of disorganisation. And man saw it was good.

Then dawned the era of improvement. Man came, and saw multitudes of
libraries and proclaimed them to be too much a hazard for dummies everywhere.
Then man said, "Let there be one place, or one common object where all these libraries
of books of information can come together. Let they be fruitful and multiply to benefit Mankind."
And thus came multitudes of libraries of books of information of words; and man called it a computer.
Thus, ending the era of complexity. And man saw it was good.

Then dawned the era of simplicity. Man came, and saw the computer,
about the size of a room, overcrowding the people.
Then man said, "Let there be computers that are smaller, faster, and cuter than these.
Let them show more pictures, and hold more information. Let they be fruitful and multiply to benefit Mankind."
And thus came computers that were smaller, yet did more; and man called it a laptop.
Thus, ending the bulky age. And man saw it was good.

Then man said, "Let there be a place where these computers can communicate with other computers;
sharing information and giving us the ability to work at home. Let it all be controlled by one force,
and let that force's riches be fruitful and multiply, and until the end of the world;
let all of these creations benefit Mankind."
And thus came networks of information passed on from computer to computer,
ran under a force called Microsoft; and man called this phenomena the information super highway.
Thus, starting the era of Generation X. And man saw it was very good.
