Sunday - 3PM
I come home from the store. Salmon fillet in the oven, potatoes on the stove. Everything's fixing for a great night.
Then I turn on my computer.
It doesn't recognize my hard drive. My twenty gigabyte hard drive. My twenty gigabyte mp3-filled hard drive. First impression, Run Norton SystemWorks.
Everything checks. Nothing changes. No hard drive.
Second impression, too hot. Wait a few hours. Wait unitl after dinner.
Computer's cool. Nothing changes. No hard drive.
Third impression: I'm fucked. Two months of legwork I put in on this music. And now, it won't recognize it.
I had no choice. I had to erase the hard drive. 12 GB of music; 5 GB of shareware.
Gone.
At least the shareware was backed up.

If life never stunk, it sure does now.
