Okay, now on to something real important...
My freelances!
Last night, I was running through a series of poetry books and came across some haikus I wrote. Out of nowhere, I get the urge to do some more. The vibes struck, but I felt something was still missing. Then it hit me, the problem with haikus is that they say little, yet mean a lot. So I thought I could create a series of haikus and lace them together to make one cool poem. Through trial and error, and missing my Everybody Loves Raymond & Seinfeld reruns, I finally got the winning formula. So, without further ado, with no relation to Jennifer or Giancarlo, from the other side...
Esposito: A Suite of Seven Haikus
It's total darkness.
It is without form and void;
leading into light.
Bitter winter cold
The color of white; but black
melatone's best friend.
The black lump of coal;
rough, rigid, weird, yet unique
turns to a diamond.
Sparks fly in eyes
Only thing you see in black
Attraction grows fast.
Dark and lovely hair;
beautiful in every way.
I knew twas God sent.
Brought from higher love.
It does not see a color.
It sees true beauty.
Soil and earthly ground.
Then out came Esposito...
A real true black gem.
